Costs & quotes

Pricing questions

  • How much does a new roof cost in Bristol?Typically £5,000–£10,000+VAT for a terraced house depending on tile or slate, plus £600–£2,000 for scaffolding. See our full cost guide for a breakdown.
  • Do you charge for quotes? No — every quote is free and written, with no obligation to proceed.
  • Can I negotiate the price? We price fairly from the start rather than building in room to haggle, but always happy to talk through the breakdown if anything’s unclear.
Repairs & emergencies

Repair questions

  • Is it a repair or do we need a new roof?If a roof’s otherwise sound, a repair is almost always the right call — we’ll tell you that even though re-roofing pays more.
  • How quickly can you come out for an emergency?Usually same-day for genuine emergencies. See our emergency callout page for what to do while you wait.
  • Will our insurance cover storm damage? Most policies cover sudden storm or impact damage, but not general wear and tear. We provide photos and documentation either way. The Association of British Insurers has guidance on what storm damage claims typically cover.
Guarantees & trust

Working with us

  • What guarantee do you offer?See our full guarantee page for workmanship and material cover details.
  • Are you insured?Yes — public liability insurance is in place. Ask for the certificate any time.
  • Do you need planning permission for a re-roof?Usually not for like-for-like work. Conservation areas and listed buildings are the main exceptions — see our leadwork page for more detail. You can also check the Planning Portal for official guidance on roof works.
