Our guarantee

What’s actually
covered, in writing

No vague promises — here’s exactly what our guarantee means, and what questions are worth asking any roofer before you commit.

What we offer

Our workmanship guarantee

Workmanship cover

Every job comes with a written workmanship guarantee, with the exact term confirmed in writing on your quote and matched to the scope of work carried out.

Material guarantees

Passed through from the manufacturer — typically 20–40 years depending on the product used, confirmed in writing on your quote.

Flat roof / EPDM guarantee

20 years on EPDM installations, as stated on the relevant service page.

Repair guarantee

Repair work carries its own written guarantee, confirmed on your quote — typically a shorter term than a full re-roof, reflecting the smaller scope of work.

Insurance-backed guarantees (IBG)

What an IBG actually means

Worth understanding before you commit to any roofing work, with us or anyone else.

What it protects against

If a contractor stops trading, an IBG ensures an insurer steps in to honour the remaining guarantee — your protection doesn’t just disappear.

Not legally required

IBGs aren’t mandatory by law. A contractor doesn’t have to offer one, but it’s a genuine sign of a properly run business if they do. The TrustMark scheme is a government-endorsed quality mark worth knowing about.

Ask us directly

Ask us directly when you get your quote — we’ll tell you plainly whether an IBG applies to your job, and confirm it in writing if so.

What to check

Questions worth asking before any roofing job

  • Is the guarantee written, not just verbal?A guarantee that isn’t in writing on your quote or invoice isn’t really a guarantee.
  • Does it cover workmanship, materials, or both? These are separate things — a workmanship guarantee covers installation quality, a material warranty covers manufacturing defects.
  • Is it insurance-backed?This matters if you’re worried about what happens should the contractor stop trading during the guarantee period. Check government-approved trader schemes for further guidance.
  • Are there exclusions?Storm damage, accidental damage, or lack of maintenance are common exclusions — ask what’s not covered, not just what is.
